A pretty face with famous celebrity parents are only some of her abundant blessings that helped Andrea Nicole Guck Andi Eigenmann to be noticed in the show business world. This Kapampangan, American, German and Spanish lass hails from the famous Eigenmann family. She is the daughter of veteran actor Mark Gil and character actress Jaclyn Jose. She happens to be the half-sister of Sid Lucero, Gabby, Ira and Maxene Eigenmann, all famous showbiz figures in their own right. She studied elementary and high school at Miriam College Quezon City, Philippines.

Then, she took up fashion design at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde in Taft Avenue Manila. With showbiz blood running through her veins, Andi Eigenmann was not able to resist the lure of her parents and siblings thrilling but complex world. She eventually became a contract artist under ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. It was in 2007 when she started her showbiz career, by playing Sandy in the soap opera, Prinsesa ng Banyera.

More so, she entered the Big Brother’s house in 2008 and became the second player to enter the house. Unfortunately, she got evicted on day 53. Oozing with beauty and talent, she was one of the 12 finalists of the MYX VJ Search in 2009. Andi marked the turning point in her career when she was tapped to play the lead role in the fantasy drama series, Agua Bendita. She played Agua and Bendita, a story of twin sisters, one was normal (Bendita) while the other one (Agua) was born with a physical defect.

After the said fantasy-series she starred on eight episodes of Your Song Presents. In that project, she played different characters. In 2010, Andi starred in two beautiful films under Regal. These were Mamarazzi and Shake, Rattle and Roll 12. From then on, she continues to prove that she can make it out on her own without her parents’ influence.

To date, she played the role of Gabby Marcelo in the critically-acclaimed family military drama series, I Will Love You Only Once together with Maja Salvador and Coco Martin. Young and carefree, her budding career was temporarily halted when rumors had circulated about her alleged pregnancy. It all started as a blind item, which appeared on several entertainment columns in June of 2011. A few days after, discussions in Twitter pointed out that it was Andi who was pregnant. As a result, her mother confirmed about her daughter’s pregnancy and said that she was proud of her daughter’s decision to keep the baby. When asked who the father of the child was, she said that it was Andi’s first boyfriend. It was Albie Casino who fathered her precious child.

On November 23, 2011, Andi gave birth to a baby girl at the St. Luke’s Medical Center via Caesarean section. She named her daughter, Adrianna Gabrielle Ellie. Despite of the hardships and not so good news about her early pregnancy, she was able to make a comeback to what she does best.- Acting. She top billed the television drama, Though My Heart Becomes Wounded. In 2012, she did a project along with Gabby Concepcion, Jake Cuenca and Iza Calzado. On that same year, she also starred in a horror film, The Fridge with Janice de Belen under Regal Films. Likewise, she also starred in a romantic drama film, A Secret Affair under Viva Films with Derek Ramsay and Anne Curtis.

Meanwhile, Andi Eigenmann’s acting prowess was also noticed by several award-giving bodies. Among her prestigious citations were as follows: She had become a recipient of the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award in the 58th FAMAS Awards in 2010. Andi was unanimously bestowed as the Most Promising Female Star of the Year in the 42nd Guillermo Box Office Awards. Lastly, she was nominated as a Breakthrough Artist of the Year, in 2011 at the Studio 23 Barkada Choice Awards.

Andi Eigenmann is back again to her first love, to prove to everyone that she is not just a pretty face with good showbiz connections; but somebody who can magnificently make a name on her own sweat and blood.
