Our very own Charice Pempengco, who just celebrated her 23rd Birthday last May 10, will appear in Asia’s Got Talent Grand Finals on May 14, 2015, as one of the reality talent show competition’s special guests.

This will mark her reunion with mentor and godfather, David Foster (one of the show’s judges), after they parted ways in 2011 when the latter moved to Universal Records. The Asia’s Got Talent 2015 Winner will be announced on May 14. For the meantime, let’s take a good look at the talents of the four Filipino during last Thursday’s episode.

Asia's Got Talent 2015 Winner

All four Filipino talents: singers Gerphil Flores and Gwyneth Dorado, dance group Junior New System and shadow play group El Gamma Penubra received standing ovations from the judges.

Spice Girl Mel C was awed with 10-year-old Gwyneth Dorado’s performance as she sang her heart out with “Titanium”. She said that the young singer was incredible on stage.

Shadow play group, El Gamma Penubra delivers a touching tribute to Mother Nature. Their amazing and timely performance made Anggun teary-eyed and saying that they were able to raise awareness about peoples’ actions towards the environment, adding that their performance were more noble. Van Ness echoed his co-judge’s sentiment and said that he is thankful for the group’s message.

Meanwhile, Gerphil Flores dubbed as judge David Foster’s “golden girl”, delivered a stunning rendition of “The Impossible Dream”. In his comment, Foster said that the world is going to know about the Filipino soprano. Meanwhile, Anggun said that while Flores was already a beautiful girl, she showed her magnificence through her performance.

Lastly, a high-powered dance/acrobatic number with a medley of songs that included “Who Let the Dogs Out” and the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” was delivered by Junior New System. The dance troupe once again pushes the boundaries with an American football themed Super Dance that makes the crowd flip! Mel C commented that their performance was a party while Van Ness said that their number was flawless.

I wish them all the best of luck.
