Church of Christ Postal Stamps, Anyone?

The controversial printing of the Church of Christ stamps were strongly defended by Malacanang, by stating that it is not the very first time in the history of PhilPost that such an endeavor was successfully accomplished. According to Malacanang spokesperson in the person of Erwin Lacierda he said that in the 1950’s, the Palace was able to print some commemorative stamps for the joyous celebration of the Eucharistic Celebration in Manila. Accordingly, he further believes that these beautiful and worth-keeping stamps are not violating laws concerning the Church and the State. As far as these stamps are concerned, they will be issued next week.

Generally, the Church of Christ stamps feature the face of its founder, Bro. Felix Manalo, the beautiful logo of their centennial anniversary and the likes. Meanwhile, the Church of Christ stamps were designed by Bienvenido Santiago. Additionally, its striking layout was made by Vic Serevo.

To wrap, there is nothing wrong about these Church of Christ commemorative stamps, which mainly highlight its dynamic founder for as long as there is no political insinuation involved.
