  • Fruits and vegetables play a great part in keeping your eyes healthy.- Eat lots of these to maintain those healthy eyes. Eating carrots that contains beta carotene will reduce the risk of macular degeneration.- Also, broccoli and bell peppers are good for your eyes too because they contain lots of Vitamin C; foods that contain omega 3 like salmon and sardines will help protect those tiny blood vessels in our eyes. Sweet potatoes and spinach are other healthy options too because they contain Vitamin C, lutein and beta carotene. Always have a well- balanced diet. This will help you maintain a good eyesight and healthy weight as well. This health regimen will help you prevent diabetes, as this is one of the leading causes of blindness among adults.
  • Avoid wearing contact lenses for more than 19 hours, as this can cause discomfort to your eyes and permanent eye damage.- Wearing glasses for longer periods of time should also be avoided specially those 3-D glasses. Remove your contact lenses when you are going to sleep. Doing this, will cause your eyes to have a regular supply of oxygen. On the other hand, contacts block oxygen’s flow into your eyes.
