Who can forget the beautiful mountains, the songs, and of course, the classic story of Maria and the Von Trapp, all this reminds me of the musical and heartwarming story of The Sound of Music. Actress Julie Andrews returns to Salzburg 50 years after The Sound of Music movie. She revisits them all in the special 5-disc DVD edition from 20th Century Fox that celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music.

Julie Andrews Returns to Salzburg 50 Years After The Sound of Music.

In the exclusive clip, Julie Andrews, 79, reflects on how the city of Salzburg, Austria hardly seems to have changed since the director Robert Wise, his team, his cast and the actress herself arrived there. But the 1965 movie, The Sound of Music, which earned five Oscars, including Best Picture, changed the way of life there, attracting tourists by the thousands. She revisits the gazebo where Maria and Captain Von Trapp serenaded each other in the moonlight, and the church where Maria and the captain tied the knot.

Julie Andrews, together with Christopher Plummer, 85, will participate in the TCM Classic Film Festival that will run March 26 to 29 in Hollywood. The festival will kick off with a screening of The Sound of Music. Plummer will also participate in a hand and footprint ceremony March 27 outside the TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Sound of Music movie and Julie Andrews will be around for many generations to come. Just want to share the classic sound to everyone. Check below one of my favorite songs in the movie. I was learning this in 3rd grade, while my daughter sung this on her preschool graduation.
