Some kids used empty bottles or shot glasses as suction devices to plump their lips, while others claimed they used vacuum cleaner. Check out the painful results below.

What is the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge? The challenge encourages people to put a glass or plastic cup on their lips and then suck for about five minutes. The pressure brings blood rushing to their lips and inflates them so they look just like the 17-year-old Kylie, who is known for her pillow lips, natural or not.

The alarming new trend among countless teens have been sharing the disturbing results of their experiments on Twitter and Instagram. The Lip challenge causes them a several painful minutes, in some cases lips swell well, while others ended in bruised and swollen lips disaster.

Meanwhile, various medical professionals have already issued stern warnings against the practice, saying it could result in permanent damage. An American dermatological surgeon, Dr. Dendy Engelman said, that the do-it-yourself lip plumping craze was “quite concerning”.

Not only can significant pain, swelling, and bruising result from these suction techniques, but there is potential risk for scarring and permanent disfigurement with repeated attempts“, Engelman said.

Kylie Jenner has previously denied using cosmetic assistance to enhance her luscious lips, she insists she’s ‘au naturel’. Elle Magazine reported that the reality star spends almost an hour each morning emphasizing her pout. She also wrote on Twitter in the past, “These plastic surgery rumors hurt my feelings to be honest and are kinda insulting … Just in case anyone forgot … I’m 16″.

She even told Grazia Magazine, “I’m like, ‘Stop talking about my lips. I haven’t had plastic surgery. I’ve never been under the knife. People flash back to pictures of me when I was 12 and say ‘Kylie’s so different’ but how can I look the same from 12 to 18?”
