It appears that Madonna can still surprise people as she did a straight up soaring vocal performance of her new hit “Ghosttown”, a song from her 13th studio album, Rebel Heart, with Taylor Swift, who freaked out on Twitter over a compliment from Madonna, managed to contain herself to accompany the pop icon on guitar for a rendition of “Ghosttown”.

Both singers posted joyful reactions on Instagram after the Ghosttown performance. Madonna said, “My new favorite guitar player! Thank you Taylor! Just you and I in a #ghostown ❤️#rebelhearts“, while Taylor said, “I might be okay but I’m NOT FINE AT ALL. #MyFangirlLife #MadonnaAndTaylor“.

Madonna Taylor Swift 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards Performance

Madonna and Taylor Swift teamed up to perform Madonna’s new single, “Ghosttown” at 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Madonna and Taylor Swift started their performance sitting on adjacent stools as they were almost back-to-back. Midway through, the “Living for Love” hitmaker stood and walked toward the front of the stage, at one point dropping to her knees before getting back up again. She was joined a short time later by Swift, who rocked out on guitar as Madonna belted out the emotional tune.

At the end of the performance, they shared a hug before walking away together. At least Madonna stunned her audience in a normal way, not with another legendary kiss or taking off her clothes.

Meanwhile, Madonna’s album Rebel Heart received quite the boost after the performance. Over the past week, she has been bashed for her “flop” album, which dropped in sales 80 percent during the second week. Despite news sources making up lies that the 80 percent drop was the second biggest in music history, Keith Caulfield from Billboard cleared things up.

I never would imagine these two on stage, but they worked very well. Watch Madonna and Taylor Swift Ghosttown Performance at 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards below. Let us know what you thought of the performance in the comments section.
