Binibini 34, Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez is one of the pre-pageant favorite. She is a Filipino actress, and she is half sister of Mark Anthony Fernandez and Vandolph Quizon. During the question and answer portion of the competition, General Catapang asked Winwyn a timely question:

If you win one of the crowns tonight, will you become an Ambassadress of good will? What is your message of peace for your fellow Filipinos, especially at this time“?

Winwyn Marquez answered :

I would tell to the fellow Filipinos that we should learn the importance of dialogue to be able to have a conflict resolution. Filipinos have integrity. They have passion and they’re determined to persevere. If we all unite and just be able to help one another, then we will achieve peace. Thank you“.

Binibining Pilipinas crowd applauded in delight upon hearing WinWyn’s answer. Even former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez was impressed saying :

However, when winners were announced, she was left out of the winner’s circle, which led to the disappointment of many. However, she may have failed to win a crown, but WinWyn Marquez is grateful for the support and love that she experienced along the way. During the competition, WynWyn bagged 3 special awards – Best in National Costume, She’s So Jag award 2015 and Best in Talent.

WinWyn Marquez’s parents, Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno, were in the audience to support her. Her aunt Melanie Marquez, who is Miss International 1979, was also in the crowd to support her and was even seen holding the number 34 card in the audience.
