In a statement to news.com.au, Thermomix said:

“We are deeply sorry that this has resulted in some of our very valuable customers feeling disappointed. We value every one of our customers and recognize that this is not an ideal situation for everyone involved. We understand the position of our customers that recently purchased a TM31 and are taking this issue very seriously. We are currently working with our team to address the concerns of those customers that recently purchased a TM31 and will continue to be committed to providing the best level of service to our very passionate customer base.”

For those who are wondering about Thermomix, it is a combination of twelve appliances in one with functions that include weighing, mixing, chopping, milling, kneading, blending, steaming, cooking, beating, precise heating, stirring and emulsifying. The new Thermomix TM5 brings the kitchen into the digital age with a beautiful color touchscreen display. You can follow onscreen recipe instructions by using the smart Recipe Chip, which is enhanced by the Guided Cooking function. This innovation for guaranteed success takes you step by step through recipes onscreen. The recipes have been tailor made to work perfectly with the appliance – all you need to do is add the ingredients, and your Thermomix will set the temperature and timings for you. It’s a simple, fast alternative that complements the ability to operate any function entirely manually and lets you cook your way.

In addition to the Thermomix New Model TM5 that sparks worldwide outrage, it claims that it has 10% more capacity, a new locking system, for better handling, a touch screen, a new measuring cup and says it is quieter and more powerful than the old model. The company website also claims home cooks can throw the ingredients in their Thermomixes and are able make salads in 6 seconds, cake mix in 30 seconds, sauces and gravies in five minutes and soups in 20 minutes.

I understand that there was a lack of knowledge in relation to Thermomix new model TM5 both for consultants and customers. I have seen both models of the Thermomix and they are both brilliant products. I just hope that they will settle their issues, thinking that new or old model makes only a little difference.
