Young Filipino Bagged the Microsoft Youthspark Competition

The Philippines is once again beaming proud for bagging the top prize in the recently concluded international challenge for a change which was sponsored by Microsoft. The 19-year old young Filipino who brought home honor and prestige for his beloved country, goes by the name of Dominic Co. He is one of the five outstanding contenders of the Microsoft’s YouthSpark Challenge for Change. Among the other winners came from India, the United States and Mexico. As far as this 19-year old teen is concerned, he plans to promote the undying commitment of the Filipinos towards nationalism. Apart from this, the patriotic and goal=oriented Pinoy teenager wants to resurrect his countrymen’s love and respect for their very own kind of literature through his own website, libroko.com(mybook.com). In relation to this, he is also planning to develop an online curriculum which will adequately supply the much needed necessities in teaching Philippine Literature in the years to come.

Descriptively, the Microsoft Youthspark Challenge for Change aims to encourage youths from all over the world to submit their own ideas about those things that will trigger dynamic and relevant changes in their communities. Moreover, the said prestigious competition aims to encourage the modern youths of today to develop a creative and beneficial project which makes use of Microsoft Technologies.

Speaking of their contest criteria, each contestant was judged according to these crucial points: Creativity, the innate potential of a contestant to create a positive impact on social issues and the practical use of Microsoft technologies on these life-changing social concerns.

Truly, this most promising young Filipino has been blessed with a tremendous intellect that can make this Third World country great again.
